Getting Started
Choosing Your Paper
We recommend printing on high-quality 28-lb. paper. Our favourites are HP Premium 28 and Xerox Bold Digital 28-lb. paper. 32-lb. paper works great as well! There are many brands available, so choose what works best for you.

Choosing a Printer
Our inserts can be printed on most printers, but not all will have the same results. Printing double-sided inserts can prove difficult on some printer models, and there can be significant colour and detail variations from one brand/model of printer to the next. We print our inserts using an HP Color LaserJet Pro (MFP M283fdw).
Cutting Your Inserts
All of our inserts have cutlines to make trimming them to size easy. We recommend using a good paper trimmer with a sharp blade when cutting your inserts. We like the Fiskars 9" SureCut Paper Trimmer for trimming Personal Wide or A5 inserts. It’s small, inexpensive and easy to use, although many other great choices are available.

Hole Punch & Corner Trimmer
You'll also need a good hole punch when printing out your inserts. We use an adjustable Rapesco brand hole punch that works for various sizes. We also like to round the inside corners of our inserts for a more finished look. For this, we use a Kadomaru brand corner-cutter/rounder (although this step isn't necessary).
